Crossbow Mechanism

How to Fix Your Crossbow When the Safety Mechanism is Stiff or Hard to Manipulate

Over time, dirt and debris can build up in the trigger housing, clogging up the safety mechanism and other moving parts of your bow.

This is when compressed air will come in handy. Take the can and shoot the air a various points of your bow and this will blow out the build up around the housing. If blowing the air is unsuccessful in loosening the safety mechanism then you will need to take your bow to a pro-shop.

If you attempted to fire the bow without an arrow on the rail or pulled the trigger and the anti-dry-fire mechanism remained i place. Try resetting the trigger. Grab your rope cock and pull up slightly until you hear a “click’ . Then reload an arrow and try firing the crossbow again.
